Capsule Geology

The Snip North-East Zone area is underlain by Devonian to Permian greenstone, limestone, shale and clastic sediments of the Stikine Assemblage, overlain by Upper Triassic andesitic volcanics and sedimentary rocks of the Stuhini Group. Early Jurassic Texas Creek Plutonic Suite, syenite and orthoclase porphyry rocks intrude the stratigraphy. The Triassic-Jurassic Iskut River (Bronson) stock consisting of monzodiorite to gabbro is found on the southeast part of the property.

In the vicinity of the East Zone, located some 550 meters to the east of the of the Iskut Deposit, exploration in 2007 and historical exploration in 1987 defined an area of rock sampling containing low-grade copper and gold mineralization indicative of porphyry mineralization. In 1987, a sample of pyritic argillite with malachite and azurite staining assayed 0.56 grams per tonne gold, 5.0 grams per tonne silver and 0.09 per cent copper. Another sample of pyrite and chalcopyrite from a vein structure assayed 8.4 grams per tonne gold, 36.6 grams per tonne silver, 0.84 per cent copper, 0.09 per cent lead and 0.268 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 16679).

A single drill hole of the 2007-drilling program returned an intercept 0.32 g/t gold over 61 meters (Burgoyne, 2008). Untested areas of ground both to the west and east of this drill site totals approximately 700 meters of favourable trend remain to be evaluated. The Iskut deposit and East Zone are probably contiguous on trend and together are open on strike to the east, west, and depth and have a total potential trend length of 2000 meters. The exploration potential to define extensions and new zones along trend and at depth, down dip, is considered excellent.

Also at this time, four rock samples (708446 to 708449) from the area yielded from 0.06 to 2.56 grams per tonne gold, 0.4 to 7.6 grams per tonne silver, 0.014 to 0.083 per cent copper and 0.001 to 0.016 per cent molybdenum (Burgoyne, A.A. (2008-02-15): Technical Report on Iskut Gold-Copper-Molybdenum Deposit, Snip North Property).

Refer to Snip North (104B 312) for related geological and historical details.

During 2009 through 2012, Skyline Gold Corp. completed program of prospecting, soil and rock sampling, geological mapping and airborne geophysical surveys on the area.
